I have only just begun doing workshops in my local area of the Rotherham Borough, South Yorkshire, England, for some of the schools that I already have connections with. I am building up a repertoire of themes and ideas, and the children and teachers are helping me to know what level to aim towards and how much the children are able to achieve. I aim, therefore, to pass on the benefits of this knowledge to you, as well as giving some of the children an opportunity to proudly display their work, as they deserve.

I shall update this page as I develop my repertoire, including some details of each workshop, and some of the children's work achieved as a result of the lessons that we have shared. I know that you will be impressed with how much they can achieve: I certainly have been.

Click on the link below to read a fabulous Bonfire Night Senses poem by Kimico Uttley, just 6 years old, from Ryecroft Infant School.

Some of the children chose to write poems of their own preference of style and subject for my competition. As a poet I think that this is a far more realistic way to write, as personal preference and inspiration always influence the end result. Click on this link to read the fantastic results; Prepare to be amazed at what 9 year olds can produce!

I'd love to hear what you think. Please leave a message in my
